We focus on the education and outreach of our sport
The aim of our school is the teaching and dissemination of our sport for a safe and effective practice, and above all the protection of the natural environment that surrounds us daily for its conservation, making future generations aware of the care of it. And it could not miss the practice of healthy sport.
Currently, classes are given for children, young people, seniors, people with functional diversity, that is to say, for everyone who wants to take up this Olympic sport.
As pioneers of this sport in the south of the island, we are a reference for all the people who visit us because of our experience and wisdom after practising this sport for 42 years and in the world of teaching for 20 years.
Meet the experts
Felix Trujillo founded the Kontraola surf school on family values, on the beach right next to his home. Who better to take those first steps in the water with than those who grew up here.

We are pioneers of this sport in the south of the island.
We started our journey 42 years ago in this sport, when it was little known compared to other sports such as football, basketball and handball. We are the first surfers of Playa de las Americas, which was the dream of any surfer: to be able to become professional in the sport that has seen us grow, and even more so knowing every stone of our beaches.
After spending a few years giving free lessons to all the young people of our island, we decided to start our activity 15 years ago, creating a space and a different activity that nobody thought would be a reference sport on an island surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean where American surfers visited us to enjoy our waves.
